The ruler unit of the wielder of the Pheonix Mail gains +2 Defense and immunity to the negative effects of the Tundra terrain type. Additionally, rather than making an attack, the wielder may instead increase their defensive bonus by an addtional +2 until the end of the war session. While this increase is in effect, all units that attack the wielder take 1 damage. Wearing this armor with 0 or negative prowess reduces the wielder's speed by one.
