Skiithar

The Skiithar, a race of once-aquatic frog people, now roam the lands in endless exile, cursed to flee from the waters that once gave them life. Towering and pale, their slimy skin glistens faintly in the moonlight, and their enormous yellow eyes seem to drink in every shadow and cast a disapproving gaze. Once thriving in the lush swamps and rivers, their curse drives them to dry lands, where they multiply at an alarming rate, their numbers swelling to overwhelm whatever landscape they occupy. They croak in mournful tones of their lost connection to the water, their existence a bitter reminder of the price of hubris.
