Kromaylin:

Shimmering beings composed of living prisms, refracting light in mesmerizing patterns. Kromaylin typically fair best in the desert, where the unfettered light of the sun blinds those that may wish them harm. Due to their simplistic biology, they may live quite a long time; that is, of course, if they are not shattered in the process. This same simple biology that allows them to live for so long, also makes them rather fragile. This is why Kromaylin are naturally conflict-averse and will try to stay out of harms way if possible.
