Saltwalkers:

The Saltwalkers are a strange and haunting people, their tall, wiry frames built for endless treks across the shimmering salt dunes of their homeland. Their long limbs move with an odd grace, each step barely sinking into the ground. Black, hollow eyes stare unblinking, drinking in the blinding glare of the star without flinch or squint. With mouths little more than thin slits, their voices carry as low, screeching tones that echo across the sky like distant, broken winds. Perfectly adapted to their barren world, and little more than remnants of what they once were.
