| 6a246974096900b6e55c8297 | races | Lachiwa | Update | Approved |
Description:
None → The Lachiwa are a race of bipedal reptilian pollinators originating from the dense jungle islands of the southern channel. A sudden, unexplained explosion in the growth of the island’s mega flora over the past hundred years has allowed them to slowly grow more plentiful and gain stability previously unheard of. They exhibit extreme sexual dimorphism - so much so that someone unfamiliar with them might think they were different species entirely. Males are suited to collecting nectar from the jungle’s massive flowers. They have a long proboscis (secondary to their tongue) that they can use to collect nectar, storing it in cheek pouches to later deposit in the hive and turn into honey. Their bodies are small, but their wings are large and dexterous, and are able to carry them long distances through the jungle’s dense canopy in search of new flowers.
Females are much larger than males, and are suited to create massive caverns underground where honey can be stored and the tribe can over-winter. They’re very light sensitive, and their hands are large and spade-shaped, used in tandem with scooped tusks to assist them in digging. Despite their large shape, they have fine-tuned control over their fingers and have begun to craft with them. Their wings are small, almost vestigial, and can’t be used for much more than slowing a fall. Now that their search for nectar isn’t quite so desperate, they’ve found the time to draw weird shapes on the walls, give each other shiny rocks, and think about what could make their honey taste better.

| 6a246961096900b6e55c8296 | races | Lanzeshawks | Update | Approved |
Description:
None → The Lanzeshawks is an off-shoot branch of the Zrietas species with their creation being attributed to the necessary of war and conflict in the very early history of Firenzia. Under the guidance of Lunari - the Goddess of the Moon, Ida the Magical (or the Mad depends on who you ask) uses her magiccal talents and knowledge of mutagenic plants to create an army of supersoldiers from the ordinary Zrietas. Little does she know, that her creation would have a profound impact on Firenzia, and the entirety of the Sentinel's Watch region itself.
The Lanzeshawks are taller and quite bulkier than the Zrietas ( with 7.5 ft - 8.5 ft in height). They have a humanoid body shape with thicker bones, bulkier and more flexible muscles, dexterous hand-talons with opposable thumbs, their eyes are better and much more suited for night activities, characterized by their red-orange glow in the dark. Furthermore, they also have a very keen sense of smell, being able to track down preys miles away based on just their scent alone. However, for all these talents, comes a huge trade-off: the characteristic colorful feathers and coats of the Zrietas are no more, in its place are simple black-brown-white pattern feathers. Their vocal cords can no longer produce the beautiful sounds made back in their original form, and their manners have been devolved into a bit more primal state compared to their sophisticated Zreitas brothers. Their muscles and genes itself are imbued with magic and mutagens, however, they're also quite helpless in controlling and casting magic, as well as being incapable of long-distance flight: A characteristic trait of the Giornian Mountain Birds.

| 6a24694b096900b6e55c8295 | races | Laoshu Ren | Update | Approved |
Description:
None → Evolving in the far eastern stretches past the arid mountains, the Lǎoshǔ rén or Mice Folk evolved within the Forests, rivers, and marshes of the coast.
They stand at an average of 3-4 feet, standing on two legs but often travelling on four. They resemble their smaller brethren, but have 5 fingered appendages and less fur.
Despite their relatively small stature, they are brave and tenacious often having taken down much larger foes through sheer will and numbers. However, thanks to their smaller stature and often moving around quite a bit, they must eat multiple meals a day to keep up their energy and live lesser lives then many other races around the world.
They are not as in tune with magic as some other folk, but do have shaman/wizard bloodlines that carry the ability to manipulate the weave. They, however, prefer to rely on their own ingenuity and ability.

| 6a246926096900b6e55c828d | races | Leyborne | Update | Approved |
Description:
None → An artificial race, impossible to create naturally. They live off the energy of the Leylines, and cannot survive without it, but while they stay within its power, they do not age. They were originally created from the Ignikin of Sishayo as a method of avoiding the race's naturally short lifespan.
Each Leyborne chooses their own form, and the only constant is that they all have a spherical core of energy surrounded by runes. Besides that feature, they interact with reality entirely through spells to create magical appendages and otherwise manipulate the world around them. Each Leyborne therefore looks quite different, although their color generally reveals their origin, with the most common types being red, firey Ignikin made Leyborne, white shining Lumiran made Leyborne, and black or dark purple Palorthin made Layborne

| 6a246912096900b6e55c828c | races | Lilado | Update | Approved |
Description:
None → The Lilado are small flower sprites from the “Mother Tree,” made of petals and magic. They sprung forth all at once from plants that suddenly withered. Standing only a foot tall on average, they struggle to gather resources much larger than themselves. Magic, however, comes to them as naturally as breathing - and, in fact, eating. Lilado feed psychically on the emotions of living creatures. This can make it hard to find enough food to sustain them in large numbers (there are only so many creatures in the woods capable of complex emotion, after all) but luckily some emotions can be… induced artificially, in almost any animal.
Lilado are only female, and reproduce clonally by creating a seed from themselves and nurturing it. They call each other “sister,” and instinctively know one another’s names upon meeting. They say they are connected by the “Mother Tree” - upon birth they know only that they came from her and that they miss her. They can’t remember where she is, only that “she’s somewhere cold.”
Be wary of their cute appearance and kind demeanor - a biting chill follows their touch, and they are able to twist it to deadly ends if provoked to violence.

| 6a2468fd096900b6e55c828b | races | Lionhearts | Update | Approved |
Description:
None → From initial inspection, one might just assume that the people of this race are ... literally humans, they look like humans, talk, eat and drink like humans do. There is not notable features on their appearance to discern otherwise. However, just as an onion has layers, these people their major aspect hidden from the eyes of others.
The first major difference from humanity one might notice is that they are not a mundane race at all, once they might see these people having to use instruments and scrolls to cast their spells, yet now they are all capable of doing it outright without any support.
And secondly, they have a beastly secret kept well hidden by all members of their race, revealed only to their most trusted allies, or their most terrible rivals: They possess the power to turn into a hulking Lion-human Hybrid at will (or Werelions for short). While being in this form, their body swell to three times their normal size; they grow razor sharp fangs, mane, tail and fur, their face morphed into the shape like that of a lion. Their muscle grows and their bone structure changes, giving them supernatural sense, strength and especially their signature lightning fast speed of an apex predator. Even in the Lionheart's human forms, if one spend enough time around them, he would notice that they have much better reaction time, speed, vision, sense of smell and hearing than the average human. Their eyes would sometimes even glow in the dark, yet more often than not they try to cover it to avoid detection, or misunderstanding to other races.
Yet this comes with a huge cost. Their fearsome appearance and manner in such a terrible form more often than not are mistaken for another Wild Werebeast - thus earning them a bad reputation, as others try to stay away to avoid catching their "curse", or just too intimidated to even talk to them.
They were once known as the humans of the Anglish Isle, same as any other humans, from any other places around the Shatteredlands, yet - George B. Bush, one of their greatest leaders have made a deal with Heaven to acquire the power of nature in order to fulfill its will upon the mortal realm. Thus, the "Lionhearts Gift" was bestowed upon them, allowing them to do magic at will and have the strength to do their duty on this world.

None
Description:
None → Bold and hardy, the Ludus are known as courageous warriors, farmers, and workers of the land. Their bodies are covered in a shell which is rigid but supple as the situation demands in jointed parts of the body such as the fist. They are not, however, strictly invertebrate, having an internal skeleton broadly resembling that of a human. Outwardly, Ludus vary widely, most obviously in that a caste of Ludus from the Frigid Caps and surrounding tundras have stark white shells- the Niveus- while those from the Verdant Plains and beyond are pitch black- the Furvus. Beyond coloration, however, it does not seem that the two castes are at all biologically different.

Founding Nation:

None
Description:
None → The Lumirans are a race of energy beings, their forms once radiant with vibrant, pulsating light that could illuminate entire realms. Now, however, they have faded to a dull glow, their brilliance having greatly dimmed over time. These ethereal beings, composed of pure energy, are believed to have been created by an ancient, long-forgotten civilization, rather than being born of natural causes. The veracity of this belief has yet to be confirmed.
The Lumirans carry an air of melancholy, their movements slow and subdued as they drift through the world. They often sulk in the shadows, their once-glorious radiance reduced to a faint shimmer, if that. It is said that deep within, the Lumirans long for the golden age when their light was unrestrained, and they were revered as their creators' most magnificent work. This yearning for a lost time of splendor and purpose has left them in a state of perpetual sorrow, their energy flickering with the remnants of a past that feels ever out of reach.

| 6a2468b3096900b6e55c8287 | races | Lusari | Update | Approved |
Description:
None → Human on the surface, the Lusari (people of the light, the enlightened, those who illuminate) are an unusually diverse population in both cultures and features for their relatively scant population. Despite their small numbers, they have proven capable of works that seemingly defies their meager manpower. They have used this industrious spirit to carve themselves a home in the frozen wastes.
There's little to distinguish them, however, from other Human races, sans two notable differences. A small portion of their population is capable of a unique form of magic; Drafting, or the ability to convert light into physical substance. For the non magical majority, however, a keen eye can still tell them apart from general humanity. Outsiders have documented a slight haze around Lusari individuals, observable only from the corner of one's vision, as if the very light bends around them.

| 6a2468a0096900b6e55c8286 | races | Maiken | Update | Approved |
Description:
None → An adult Maiken is near indistinguishable from a human. However, when you get closer you may notice a few differences. Their eyes often have strange patterns in them. Very similar to those of a frog's eye. They have elongated tongues that they can use as a defensive mechanism. Larger muscles in their legs. In fact one of their ancestors seems to have been a frog. It is quite the mystery how they developed into their current state.
