6a24688f096900b6e55c8285 races Makyrissan Update Approved
Description:
None → In truth the race known as the Mákyrissan is a tale of two peoples. Firstly, all appear in truth to appear human. It is safer to believe this ‘race’ to be more a subsection of humanity than anything else, though such a thought cannot be confirmed. For the men, that is obvious in all matters, mundane in magic but trying as hard as any ‘human’ could be. The Mákyrissan in truth refers to the females of the ‘species’. All women bear the inherent magical gifts that the Roses, capable with training to craft spells and raise the dead, such is the main prowess of the Coven. All, when their gifts materialize, hold a twinkle of vermillion in their irises along with their natural colour. As well, some are born with startling silver hair, though that is a rarity even for their number. And whilst most don’t travel beyond their home, it is said they have the ability to sustain warmth in cold climates, or retain a cool form in hotter climates. Suggesting an inherent gift to control their own body temperatures. In truth the most notable aspect of the Mákyrissan women that one can see, is something that can only be seen with time - they do not age, physically anyway. Once a lady of the Coven has reached their early to mid forties, physically they stop the aging process. They are not immortal, however, but the magical properties of their blood that separates them from their male counterparts means that even on their deathbed, they appear young. As a result, bar the lack of physical aging, the alleged body temperature control and subtle eye and hair colours, what makes the women different is their blood as of present day. It is their bloodlines and gifts that truly make them Mákyrissan.

6a246860096900b6e55c8283 races Maskay Update Approved
Founding Nation:
None → None
Description:
None → The Maskays are a race of gangly, mostly light-skinned humanoids, long-limbed and hunched over. Very little of their actual skin is visible, as they are covered in mud, sticks and leaves and all wear a mask made out of bark over their faces. Many speculate that their near-constant hunger and unnatural thinness are two facets of the same coin with Maskays being simply naturally “high maintenance”. While the youngest or most magically dull members of the species might have inert masks, a common magical rite of passage across Maskay cultures is awakening the mask so it starts following your own face’s movement, with the complexities in its mimicry of organic movement and of its design and ornaments being a signifier of both magical aptitude and status amongst the Maskays. Maskays keep silent unless something absolutely needs words to be communicated, seemingly as a sort of protection against the more keen of hearing predators that once chased them through the forests. As such, being able to express as much as possible without saying a single word is highly appreciated amongst Maskay societies.

6a24683f096900b6e55c8281 races Mohad Update Approved
Description:
None → This is a race of ant like humanoids who are bipedal, however they differ from ants due to them reproducing via normal sexual means however still hold their queen as the central figure of their society. They are a social race that focuses primarily on interactions within their own race, and with other insectoids, with them rarely having meaningful interactions with more mammalians species. Their natural evolution has made them prefer to live in tunnel like systems to avoid the natural predators they've encountered, their evolution as also given them a tough chitin, due to the high energy required to maintain and create large amounts of chitin, alongside their tunneling nature they evolved to be shorter in stature sitting at around 5ft 4in. The Mohad however lack strong magical capabilities due to many of them being basic worker, and soldiers drones in service to the colony, instead focusing on meeting the basic needs of their people instead of trying to master the arcane arts.

6a24681b096900b6e55c827d races Mutatum Update Approved
Founding Nation:
None → None
Description:
None → The Mutatum are goliaths - they resemble humans closely, but are much larger and have a clay-like texture to their skin. Their greatest strength is their ability to adapt their traits to the temperature of their environment, growing in strength with the heat and in wit with the cold. They are at their peak in the temperature they were born into, and excel much less in the opposite. Though they eat, drink, are born and die like any other living thing, Mutatum have a strange “created” quality to them that sometimes calls their origin into question. Sometimes. If it’s cold and anyone has the time to think hard about something like that. Mutatum can be found in pockets across the world, with traditions that vary greatly (just as they do) by their environment.

6a246808096900b6e55c827c races Mycelis Update Approved
Description:
None → A menacing fungal hive mind that flourishes in scorching landscapes. This parasitic entity prefers to take root in the searing heat of geothermally active regions and volcanic expanses. The Mycelis manifests as pulsating, orangish fungi, releasing spores to infiltrate and control host individuals. Once infected, these hosts lose their autonomy, becoming drones manipulated by the collective will of the Mycelis. While not particularly intelligent on its own, by assimilating others races it eventually absorbs their knowledge, which is added to the collective. Mycelis that are removed from the conglomerate can act with some level of independence.

6a2467f2096900b6e55c827b races Orchal Update Approved
Description:
None → From forsaken lands north of north, the Orchal came. Towering humanoids whose males reach well over seven and a half feet tall, the sturdy Orchal are a sight to behold. They are broad, dark of hair with eerily piercing blue eyes. Originating from the harshest of environments, the large humanoids are able to continue to do strenuous activity for days before finally collapsing. Their skin is rough, but surprisingly quiet warm to the touch. In spite of their large size, or perhaps because of it, Orchals aren't naturally aggressive and tend to be slow to anger. The Orchal didn't view their strange power as supernatural in origin until they began interacting with other races. Their magic is internal in nature, a natural mastery of their will fortifying their flesh, minds, and burning souls to accomplish herculean feats otherwise impossible.

6a2467da096900b6e55c8278 races Palorthin Update Approved
Description:
None → The Palorthin, or as they call themselves ( م̷̂̌ا̵̑̂ ̸̍̏گ̶̇̏م̴͐̚ ̸̇̚ش̴͝ده ایم ) are a species not from this world, they are not from this dimension either. They are beings of collective free extra-dimensional essences from a unknown tiered higher dimension. Having no 'third dimensional' bodies that are sufficient to carry their essences, they take on the impure and wholly unknown materials found within this new world as their vessels of 'choice' to survive. The essences can inhabit any solid form they desire but they prefer to take on smoother vessels with extremities that fulfil their function best, most often comprised of Stone, metals or gems. After possession, the material lifts up from the ground where it floats slightly above the ground. The ones that are supposed to talk to Third Realmers often take on material with head shaped nubs or shapes to make them feel more familiar. For the Palorthin, this world is quite literally; Hell. Their home dimension has experienced a great shift after coming into contact with this one, greatly upsetting the status quo and rewriting fundamental principles. This has led the Palorthin to seek for answers to what is happening in their home dimension. While they do not have pronounced sensory organs, their perceived surroundings are chaotic and completely unknown. This hurts them on a constant basis and they crave the soothing calm of their home dimension. It requires willpower and concentration to remain composed, a overload of differing 'signals' would drive them berserk. While there may be uncountable م̷̂̌ا̵̑̂ ̸̍̏گ̶̇̏م̴͐̚ ̸̇̚ش̴͝ده ایم in their home dimension, their numbers on this side are very limited, a great deal of effort has to be expended to bring more over from the other side. The Palorthin do not reproduce according to the standard sense of the word rather to expand their presence they bring over their kin.

6a2467b3096900b6e55c8276 races Prunambulat Update Approved
Description:
None → Prunambulats are humanoid creatures. The primary features distinguishing them from humans are their black horns on the head and their black-colored eyeballs. In a few specimens, a reptile-like tail has been observed, but this appears to be an exception, and these individuals usually cannot fully control it, often leading to trouble. Another characteristic is scattered patches of scales on their skin. Even though this seems to be purely aesthetic use among the Prunambulats, this mixture of strange characteristics makes it difficult to determine the origin of this race. Among Prunambulats, black horns are often compared to determine who is stronger or more experienced to solve the problem. Biologically, the horns collect the sun's heat during the day and release it during the cold nights to warm the body. In contrast, the black eyeballs have no particular social value, but they help them to see better during the day by absorbing excess sunlight.
